French Breakfast 3 - A popular radish producing cylindrical, crisp red roots with a white tip and good flavour. Ideal for use as a catch crop between slower growing vegetables. Prefers rich drained soil. Sow and harvest little and often to avoid woody roots. for continuous crops sow every 2/3 weeks.

Scarlet Globe - Classic globe shape radishes with deep red skin and crisp white flesh that has excellent flavour and good 'bite'. Quick and easy to grow, ideal as a 'catch' crop. Prefers rich, well drained soil not recently manured. Use as a 'catch' crop between slower growing crops.

Sparkler 3 - A popular variety with attractive contrasting red and white rounded roots. The clear white flesh has a crispy, crunchy texture and mild flavour. Prefers rich, well drained soil not recently manured. Useful as a 'catch' crop between slower growing vegetables.

Radishes are best grown as a catch crop for slower growing plants such as potatoes or parsnips. Growing radishes is very easy, they grow quickly and can be harvested fast too.

  • Sow thinly in a prepared seed bed in rows 23cm apart
  • Cover lightly in fine soil, keep moist
  • Seedlings appear in 7/14 days
  • Thin as required, up to 5cm apart.
  • Keep moist as dry conditions may cause plants to bolt
  • Protect early sowing's with cloches in cold weather
  • Harvest approx 4/6 weeks from sowing
