JBA Seed Potatoes - Second Earlies - Nadine

Producing round, uniform tubers, the Nadine potato variety is very popular thanks to its many culinary uses - although perfect for baking and boiling, it can also be used for chipping, mashing and even roasting.

The Nadine variety is suitable for growing in pots or in raised beds, so can be grown even in the smallest of gardens. With a high yield after approximately 13-15 weeks, this seed potato variety can be enjoyed long into the late summer months.

Key Information:

  • Round, white-skinned tubers
  • Cream-coloured flesh
  • Produces a high yield with many tubers at the root

Advice & Tips:

  • Soon after purchasing, empty the seed potatoes into a shallow box, such as an egg box, and store them in a cool area protected from frost.
  • Two weeks before planting out, move the seed potatoes to a light area so that they can produce a strong, thick sprout - make sure they are rose eye upwards. When exposed to light, the potatoes will turn green - this is normal.
  • When planted into the ground, each potato should be approximately 25cm from the next, with rows spaced approximately 60cm apart. The potatoes should be approximately 15cm into the ground.

Useful Information:

When to sow: March - April
When to Harvest: July - August
Culinary Use: Excellent for Baking, Boiling, Chipping and Mashing, but can also be used for Roasting
