Mr Fothergills Broccoli Seeds - Sprouting Summer Purple Variety
Sprouting summer purple is a productive broccoli variety with great flavoured tender green stems and attractive purple florets. It has a good heat tolerance and requires no vernalisation, making it ideal for summer cropping. Sow these seeds indoors for high quality broccoli spears that are a great source of vitamin C & antioxidants.
Sow indoors between January-March & they will typically be ready to harvest between June-October.

Advice & Tips:
- Sow thinly indoors into a tray of compost & water well
- Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 13°C is ideal & keep moist
- Transplant 5cm apart to other trays when large enough
- Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out - avoid frosts
- Plant out 60cm apart, allowing 60cm between rows
- Harvest regularly to encourage further shoots
- Harvest shoots when 15cm long
