Cascade F1 is a reliable Chantenay type with high quality roots that resist running to seed & store well. Ideal for baby carrots, sow these seeds outdoors for sweet & tasty carrots that provide a great source of vitamin A & antioxidants.

Sow outdoors between February-July & they will typically be ready to Harvest between June-November.

Advice & Tips:

• Sow thinly outdoors where they will crop, allowing 30cm between rows
• Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days
• Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly, allowing some to grow on
• Water well until established
• Sow every 3 weeks to ensure a continuous supply of young roots
• Keep well watered during dry spells to prevent roots from splitting
• Baby carrots are best lifted when 5cm long
• Mature roots can be lifted in autumn; remove soil & store in dry sand
• Delay sowing until May if carrot fly is a problem
