Burpees Short 'n' Sweet is a very sweet carrot variety with short, colourful roots, ideal for growing in containers or heavy & poor soils. Sow these seeds outdoors for crisp & tasty carrots that are high in natural sugars & provide a great source of vitamins A & antioxidants.

Sow outdoors between March-July & they will typically be ready to Harvest between June-November.

Advice & Tips:

• Sow thinly outdoors where they will crop, allowing 30cm between rows
• Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days
• Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly, allowing some to grow on
• Water well until established
• Sow every 3 weeks to ensure a continuous supply of young roots
• Keep well watered during dry spells to prevent roots from splitting
• Roots can be lifted in autumn; remove soil & store in dry sand
• Delay sowing until May if carrot fly is a problem
