Mr Fothergills Cucumber Seeds - Chinese Slangen Variety
Chinese Slangen is a traditional outdoor cucumber variety, producing long slender cucumbers that grow to 50cm long, with some spines. Great for growing outdoors, these seeds will yield very sweet cucumbers that provide a good source of vitamins C & A.
Sow indoors between February-April or outdoors between May-June & they will typically be ready to Harvest between July-October.

Advice & Tips:
- Sow indoors in small pots & water well
- Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 21-24°C is ideal & keep moist
- Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
- When plants have developed 3-4 leaves transplant into 12cm pots & grow on in cooler conditions
- Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out
- Pinch out growing tips when 6 leaves have formed to encourage side shoots
- Or sow outdoors allowing 60cm between rows
- For straightest fruits provide support for plants to climb
