Mr Fothergill's fennel seeds produce a hardy perennial herb plant that can be grown in pots outdoors. Its leaves, stems & seeds can all be harvested for a tasty addition to your cooking. Fennel leaves have a mild aniseed flavour and taste great in salads or as a garnish. Its seeds & stems have a stronger flavour; the stems can be cooked or eaten raw and the seeds are ideal for use in pickles & sauces.
Sow outdoors between March-May & they will typically be ready to Harvest between June-October.
