Mr Fothergills Komatsuna Seeds - Japanese Spinach Te-suto F1 Variety

Japanese Spinach Te-suto F1 is an easy to grow komatsuna variety that can be sown indoors or outdoors for crops almost all year round. These seeds will yield versatile plants with edible leaves, stems and flower shoots that can be harvested young or mature & make a great addition to salads & stir fries.

Sow outdoors between March-September or indoors between October-March to harvest January-December.

Advice & Tips:

  • Sow outdoors March - September, allowing 30cm between rows

  • Harvest un-thinned as baby leaves
  • Thin seedlings to 10-20cm apart to produce mature plants
  • Or sow indoors in a tunnel or greenhouse October - March
  • Keep moist & weed free
  • Late spring & summer crops are ready to harvest from approx. 21-35 days
  • Autumn & winter crops take 60-90 days depending on temperature
