Mr Fothergills Parsnip Seeds - Javelin F1 Variety

Javelin F1 is a good quality British bred parsnip variety with canker resistance. Sow these seeds outdoors for large crops of uniform bayonet shaped roots with a great flavour and attractive cream skin, ideal for roasting.

Sow outdoors between February-May & they will typically be ready to harvest between October-February.

Advice & Tips:

  • Sow thinly outdoors where they will crop, allowing 40cm between rows
  • Seedlings usually appear in 14-32 days
  • Thin out to 20cm apart
  • Water well until established
  • Replace any dislodged soil
  • Leave roots in the ground until required - they improve after exposure to Autumn frosts
