Mr Fothergills Spinach Seeds - Cello F1 Variety

Cello F1 is a robust & reliable spinach variety with resistance to downy mildew. Sow these seeds outdoors to harvest as either 'cut and come again' baby leaf or mature leaves for a tasty addition to salads & cooking.

Sow outdoors between February-April & they will typically be ready to Harvest between April-November.

Advice & Tips:

  • Spinach is best grown outdoors in partial shade
  • Sowings made from July onwards should only be grown for baby leaves
  • Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days
  • Ensure soil stays moist to prevent plants running to seed
  • Pick young leaves regularly to encourage further growth
  • Take a few leaves from each plant to allow them to re-grow for 2-3 more pickings
  • Sow every 3 weeks to ensure a continuous supply of leaves
  • Do not allow plants to dry out as this will cause bolting
