Philadelphus
'Manteau d'Hermine' 3L
Position in your garden or patio for instant effect. Ideal for the front of mixed or shrub borders or for planting en-masse. If planted at 60cm apart in a single line makes an attractive, love, informal hedge.
Planting | Soak the root-ball before planting. Plant in a hole twice the diameter of the root-ball or pot. Mix an organic soil improver and general fertiliser with the infill soil. Water regularly until established. |
Position | Full sun to very light shade in moist soil conditions, except extremely dry. |
Flowering | Double white, fragrant flowers are borne in mid-summer and st off against the small, dark green leaves, which turn yellow before falling in autumn. |
Height | 1m x 1m |
Pruning | Three years after planting remove one in three of the shoots near ground level after flowering, choosing the oldest. The will, in turn, maintain a good display of flowers and foliage. |
