Raspberry - Glen Magna 3L (4 canes)
A late summer season raspberry (Rubus idaeus). Lovely dark red fruit with particularly good flavour. High yielding variety, fruiting throughout July & August.
Delicious when eaten fresh from the garden or in smoothies, trifles, jams & summer puddings.
A good source of antioxidants & vitamins. Rich in selenium & vitamins C & K.
Suitable for coastal areas.
Useful Information:
| Planting | Best in fertile well drained neutral or acid soil. Plant 45cm apart in rows 2m apart. Support on wires or train against a trellis or fence. Water plant thoroughly. Plant slightly deep in a large enough hole to avoid disturbing the roots. Replace soil around root ball. |

| Pruning | Raspberries benefit from feeding in the spring & require watering during hot, dry weather. Summer fruiting (floricane) raspberries produce fruit on previous years canes. Cut old canes back to soil level after fruiting & tie in newly produced canes ready for the following years fruit. it is easy to distinguish between old canes & news canes as new canes are lush & green. |
